In 2012, I, Carina Aynsley, was volunteer in a children's home for girls in Kathmandu, Nepal's capital.
After daily having been confronted with the immense poverty and misery so many people are living in, I decided to try to help in my own way. To start your own business can sometimes be both difficult and time consuming, and I chose to provide assistance to existing companies and organizations driven by women.
Our opinion is that the best way to support these poor and hard-working women is help to self-help. Therefore, we buy their crafts and pay well for it. In return, we demand quality and promise that child labor does not occur in the business.
Hopefully we and you customers together can help some children have the opportunity to attend school and get an adequate education. That's what it's all about - helping the kids!
